தமிழ்ச் சங்கம்

The Inaugural Session of Tamil Sangam took place on 9^th July 2024, at the Becchi Don Bosco Hall. It was organized by the members of Clement of Rome, under the guidance of Professor Stanley Jayakumar. The group helped the academic gathering to reflect on the theme: ,இந்தியத் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் சரித்திரம் படைக்குமா? With the help of the key speaker of the day, Dr. Rajasekar, Tamil Professor from Patrician Arts and Science College. The floor discussion provoked the audience to enter into dialogue with the speakers. The meeting came to an end at 01.15 p.m.

On 27^th August, St. Justin group organized the second session of Tamil Sangam at the Don Bosco Hall under the guidance of Professor Augustin Arulraj. They helped the students and professors to reflect on the theme: வாழ்வும் கொலையும்: ஓர் இறையியல் பார்வை. சென்னை மயிலை உயர் மறைமாவட்டத்தின் சமூக ஊடக பொறுப்பாளராக பணி செய்யும், அருள்பணி ரிச்சி வின்சென்ட் அவர்கள் இரண்டாம் அமர்விற்கான சிறப்புரையை ஆற்றினார். After the talk queries were raised, discussed and some solutions were arrived at. The session came to an end at 01.00 p.m.

The members of St. Jerome group took the lead in organizing the third Tamil Sangam session on 12^th November 2024 and it dealt with the theme: இறை இசை: ஓர் இறையியல் பார்வை. Rev. Fr. Balasingam gave the keynote address on the theme: இறை இசையின் மேன்மையும், திருப்பலி மற்றும் திருச்சடங்குகளில் இசையின் முக்கியத்துவமும். Fr. Christopher coordinated this Tamil Sangam. As the role of music in liturgy was the issue in discussion all the students took an active part and the session concluded at 01.15 p.m.

The members of St. John Chrysostom group organized the fourth session of Tamil Sangam at the Becchi Don Bosco Hall. They helped both students and staff to reflect on the theme: ஒரே திரு அவையில் ஒன்றிணைந்து பயணிக்க: பங்குத் தள திருஅவையில் கூட்டியக்கப் பயணத்தை செயல்படுத்த வழிமுறைகள்”. Rev. Dr. Jesudoss Periyanayagam was the key speaker of the day and he threw light on the theme and the issues involved in the parish set up, while trying to realize synodality at the local level. Fr. Stalin Dhanaraj coordinated this concluding Tamil Sangam. This session came to an end at 01.10 p.m. As it was the concluding session the president and the secretary of Tamil Sangam were thanked by the Principal and presented a ponnadai by Fr. Rector. The session concluded at 01.15 p.m. Let us put our hands together for all the students and professors who worked for the success of Tamil Sangam sessions last year.
